Today, about one-third of the global food harvest goes to waste. This fact is so striking that it seems imperative to combine knowledge with practical expertise to work towards technological, social and economic innovations to reduce food losses, especially where food insecurity prevails for many people. The RELOAD project aims to improve knowledge, build capacities and develop technologies that help reduce post-harvest losses in Eastern Africa.
